Paul Frederic Simon (né le 13 octobre 1941) est un chanteur compositeur américain.

Il commença par écrire des chansons pour le duo Simon & Garfunkel, qui enregistra plusieurs albums tels que Sounds of silence en 1966 ou Bridge over troubled water en 1970. Le duo enregistra également la bande originale du film Le Lauréat (The Graduate), réalisé en 1967 par Mike Nichols avec Dustin Hoffman, de laquelle fut tiré le titre Mrs Robinson, l'un de leurs plus grands succès.
Après sa séparation d'Art Garfunkel en 1971, Paul Simon écrivit et enregistra un album solo appelé Paul Simon en 1972. Ce n'était pas son coup d'essai, puisqu'il avait, bien des années auparavant en 1965, réalisé un premier album en Angleterre, The Paul Simon Song Book. Il continua de composer durant les années 1970, et sortit en 1986 son plus grand succès solo, Graceland.
En 1992 Paul Simon épouse Edie Brickell avec qui il aura trois enfants.
