Le Boeing CH-47 Chinook est un hélicoptère de transport lourd d'origine américaine.
Ses deux rotors en tandem en font un hélicoptère facilement reconnaissable.
Un record de longévité pour cet hélicoptère constament modernisé : engagé massivement lors de la guerre du Vietnam et lors de la guerre du Golfe, il l'est encore récemment en Afghanistan.
